Terms and Conditions: Coastal Candles NZ Ltd (CCNZ Ltd)

1. Introduction

By purchasing from CCNZ Ltd you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.

2. Product Safety & Usage (The “Candle Warning”)

Candles are a fire hazard if not used correctly. By purchasing our products, you acknowledge that:

• Burn Instructions: You must follow the safety instructions provided on the candle packaging/warning label.
• Supervision: You will never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Placement: You will burn candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children, pets, and flammable objects.
• Container Safety: Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains to prevent the container from overheating and cracking.

3. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
• Prices exclude GST.
• We reserve the right to change prices without notice. Payment is required in full before an order is dispatched.

4. Shipping and Delivery

• Address: It is your responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. We are not liable for lost items due to incorrect addressing.
• Dispatch: We aim to dispatch orders within 2-5 working days.
• Damage in Transit: If your candle arrives broken, please email a photo of the damage to nzcoastalcandles@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery so we can arrange a replacement.

5. Returns and Refunds (NZ Consumer Guarantees)

• Faulty Goods: If a product is faulty or does not match the description, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act by providing a replacement or refund.
• Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for a “change of mind” once a purchase is complete.
• Handmade Variance: Our candles are handmade. Minor imperfections (such as slight frosting or surface dips) are natural characteristics of cocosoy wax and are not considered faults.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by NZ law, CCNZ Ltd is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by the improper use of our products. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.

7. Privacy

Your personal information (name, address, email) is collected only to process your order and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. We will not sell or share your data with third parties.
