in 2012 I welcomed my second child to the world and while I was home I felt the need to contribute financially to the household.
The idea came up to start selling jewellery online and you have to remember; the internet, website building and social media has evolved A LOT since then!
It wasn’t so easily accessible and there weren’t many GOOD as well as AFFORDABLE solutions around.
So when I was looking for ways to sell my products online, there really was not much around that was affordable AND something I had time or money to invest in!
Fees were out of this world at that time, already, especially for a brand new starter and this is where the idea of The Hive NZ came up; offering an affordable platform for new starters in business.
From there, it has grown and kept growing steadily.
With it now being way more than the directory it started out as; a full featured Marketplace where thousands of customers can shop easily with Small Kiwi Businesses.
Knowing they support local and that these businesses thrive on The Hive.
The future is SO bright, we can barely see!
In February of 2023 we changed over to this brand new websites with improved reach and features.
It’s now easier than ever for our customer to shop small with small businesses from New Zealand.
