Inspired by Koby has been … inspired by Koby. Koby is my angel baby. He was so wanted, and I grew him for 23 weeks. Sadly, Koby couldn’t stay and was born a week after my waters broke at 22 weeks. The longest week in hospital, but after, there would be longer weeks. My experience with losing Koby, opened my eyes to the world of baby loss. There was no information for me from the hospital. We received a box from Sands, it was just brought into our room. Then someone came in shortly after and said we didn’t need it, but they left it there. Noone explained it, and I didn’t look. Until too late. I missed out on many memory making ideas, because I just didn’t know. I have gone on to create many new memories since we said goodbye to Koby in 2011. Koby inspired the creation of my business, KJdesigns – where I can now create new memories for others, special keepsakes where I can handstamp babies name and details onto jewellery or keyrings .. that can be cherished forever. At Inspired by Koby we understand that grief doesn’t end with a funeral, or with the initial saying goodbye. That it is a long complicated journey, one where you can feel very alone .. like everyone has forgotten your much wanted baby. Inspired by Koby – Cards to Remember launched in October 2020 – and you can register to receive a card for your baby on their birthday. Losing a baby can be an exceptionally lonely journey – but it doesn’t have to be. We can help, one card at a time.
