My most recent works have been Māori kakahu, cloaks. I am extremely privileged to have learned traditional weaving methods and to have created cloaks for a number of special people and important occasions.
This collection builds on that experience, exploring the question of what a “special status covering” might look like in a Pākeha context.
Each item is one-of-a-kind and has been carefully curated or skillfully altered to ensure a distinct design. The materials used in these works are almost entirely rescued and repurposed to create an art garment that is unique from foundation to finish.
I take a very limited number of custom orders for weddings, special events, or just a convincing request. Please contact me for availability and to discuss your project details.
