Not Miss Muffet’s Jacket

$280.00

This is not Miss Muffet’s jacket – not for any faint of heart!

Patience Muffet lived around the beginning of the year 1600. The daughter of Thomas Muffet who was a medical doctor, but was also fascinated by the world of insects and spiders. Dr Muffet wrote two books:
The Silkwormes and their Flies; and The Theater of Insects and Lesser Living Creatures.

Dr Moffat was somewhat of a medical pioneer, studying ways that spiders could help to cure illnesses, from carrying a live spider in a walnut shell to combat a fever to swallowing a spider wrapped in a ball of butter.
