Description

Dragon Fruit –    Selenicereus undatus

Dragon fruit is a tropical fruit that has become increasingly popular in recent years.  Selenicereus undatus, the white-fleshed pitahaya, is a species of Cactaceae and is the most cultivated species in the genus. It is used both as an ornamental vine and as a fruit crop – the pitahaya or dragon fruit.

Though people primarily enjoy it for its unique look and taste, evidence suggests it may provide health benefits as well.

I grew these from seed. Yes, lots germinated!!  No I have not had them flower yet, as they are still small. Most people tend to just grow them as a houseplant, winding them around supports. Photos are indicative only, please ask what I currently have available.  You will receive a small plant, ready for you to plant up.

All plants are posted bare rooted, wrapped in tissue, then further packed into boxes or containers for the trip to your place.  I prefer to post out Mondays or Tuesdays to prevent plants sitting in transit over the weekend.
