Karla's Textile Design Lab

Karla’s Textile Design Lab is born from a lifelong passion for textile art and creation. I have been knitting, embroidering, and sewing unique pieces since childhood. After having children, I fell in love with patchwork and free-flow quilting. I spent years developing these skills to unlock my creative side. For me, sewing is a soothing practice that supports mental health.

It is also a practical skill that promotes sustainability through clever upcycling. Our general community has lost many of these skills to modern consumerism. I am incredibly excited to bring these traditional techniques back. My main focus remains on beautiful textile art and practical quilting.

I gather inspiration from nature, diverse cultures, and individual personalities. These influences help me create highly unique pieces with a functional purpose.
